We are currently looking for Electronics Technicians to join our busy Specialist Production Team. The ideal candidate should be creative, enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated. They will have hands on experience in handling PCB’s and capable of reading circuit schematics. They will be able to hand solder surface mount components, various connectors and cable assemblies. They will join our small team in helping manufacture, test and repair various kinds of electronic equipment.
For the ideal candidate, experience in the below would be advantageous:
- Video systems.
- Digital and analogue electronics.
- IP/PC based systems.
- Experience in using various types of bench test and measurement equipment.
- Read, understand and follow technical drawings.
- Be confident in the use of hand and machine tools.

Electronic Assembler

We are currently looking for individuals to join our assembly team in manufacturing a wide and varied array of bespoke telecommunications solutions. The ideal candidates should be enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated with experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate knowledge of the following:-
- Basic soldering skills.
- An enthusiasm for electronics.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- A basic understanding of following technical drawings.
Successful applicants will be trained in the following areas:-
- To read, understand and follow technical drawings.
- Hand soldering of surface mount components and assembly.
- Working to specifications.
- Testing, fault finding, and repairing electronics products.

Junior Support Technician
Sonic Communications are a successful Electronics Manufacturing Company whose technology is used worldwide. The Company operates from a single site in Bickenhill within walking distance of Birmingham International Train Station giving us good transport links for rail or local bus services in support of employee parking.
We are currently looking for a Junior Support Technician to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will be expected to complete basic IT maintenance and support tasks. This person will ensure that IT support requests are managed effectively and responded to in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the internal ticketing system, completing basic support requests where appropriate
- Escalate support requests when they cannot be completed by the on-site IT personnel
- Create user accounts, manage permissions and passwords
- Provide telephone support to customers
- Support the in-house IT team with basic requests (ie. Changing printer toner, replacing cables, setting up projectors, moving computers etc.)
- Building of PC’s, laptops and tablets as required.
- Maintaining internal telephone system
- Maintaining internal access databases
- Maintain our high standards particularly regarding customer communications and response times
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current operating systems and standard software packages, including both Microsoft Windows and Linux
- Engage in training opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in key areas, such as desktop support, networking, and operating systems
- Complete any other tasks as requested by your Line Manager or a senior member of staff

Technical Compliance Manager

We are currently looking for a Technical Compliance Manager to join our busy team.
The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate the following: –
- Ensuring finished products meet specification
- Tracking raw materials and ensuring specifications are met on receipt
- Ensuring process and monitoring is completed and acted upon
- Corresponding with Technical Managers and formulating relevant technical packs and documentation
- Corresponding with Customers and Suppliers on RFI of technical information if required
- Liaising with Test Houses and ensuring relevant tasks and documentation has been met
- Updating and maintaining internal product specifications
- Creating and amending technical manuals and technical authoring
- Developing and meeting relevant UK CA and CE marking requirements

Vehicle Installation Engineer/Coachbuilder

We are currently looking for a Vehicle Installation Technician/Engineer to join our busy team, duties to include Installation of Communications, Power Distribution and Video integration solution and automotive upgrades on a range of vehicles including motorcycles, passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Experience in Coachbuilding or Van conversions would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: –
- Experience in Mechanical/Electrical Automotive Engineering
- Competent in the use of hand/machine diagnostic tools
- Soldering/crimping
- Fabrication and modification of bespoke metalwork/bracketry
- Sound knowledge of engineering drawings and schematic diagrams
- Carpentry and panelling
- Battery and wiring knowledge
