Sonic first provided the Fire Service with the capabilities to communicate with each other while wearing, the then, Gallet Helmets. Since then, Sonic has provided the Service with intercoms that allow the Fire Brigade to communicate with the personnel from within the Fire Engine. The systems allow the wearer to disconnect from the vehicle system and reconnect to his/her handheld radio, keeping the fighter in constant radio connection whether in the vehicle or on the fire ground.
